13. PARK GÜELL SECURITY IMPROVEMENT AND ACCESS CONTROL PLAN

To improve the site's surveillance and security, CCTV cameras and remotely controlled bollards were installed at each of the park's nine gates. The infra-red cameras detect the presence of people and allow for real-time control of capacity.

The new network was designed considering the protected surroundings of the heritage site and the archaeological and natural area, while landscape impact was kept to the minimum. All data protection protocols were also followed.

The project is included in the Park Güell Strategic Plan 2022-2026.
