Here at Park Güell it is not just heritage sites that we put our efforts into maintaining, we also devote time to looking after their natural surroundings. Which is why one of the projects was to improve and enhance the Font de Sant Salvador fountain zone and its surroundings. The ensemble formed by the fountain was restored, including its front and side ornaments, ceramics, the water channel and pond, the paving and coverings, while respecting the types of material and finishings of the period.
Another initiative was conditioning the gravel paving of the park's Forat del Vent access point. The surface was eroded and degraded, and large puddles formed whenever it rained. The original level of the sloping surface was therefore restored. Furthermore, the steps connecting Forat del Vent with the El Coll neighbourhood were restored, to make them more comfortable to use.
