Covering of the domes of Nature Square

The works to definitely cover the domes and spread the sand on the surface of Nature Square have already started.

In a few days, the square will be completely opened and neighbors and visitors will be able to sit again in the wavy bench and enjoy the marvelous views over the city.

The works that have been performed in this space of Park Güell include the restoration of the rainwater drainage system and the waterproofing of the ceiling of the Hypostyle Hall which supports the half front of the square.

These improvements are framed within the Works Plan for Architectural and Natural Heritage and the Area Surrounding Park Güell, after being commissioned by the Government Committee of the Barcelona City Council. Concretely, the green light was given to 10 projects, which comprise part of those managed by B:SM and commissioned by the City Council within the framework of regulating entry to the grounds, and driven forward jointly with the Ecology, City Planning and Mobility Division, and the districts of Gràcia and Horta-Guinardó. The global package has total funds of 10.6 million euros.
