The growth of the carob tree’s roots had displaced the stone wall it was leaning against and, given the firm decision to preserve the tree, it was shored up so work on building a retaining wall to reinforce the existing structure could be done safely.
This work falls within the ordinary Park Güell maintenance and it was carried out in collaboration with Heritage and Parcs i Jardins (Parks and Gardens).
